Traffic Stop Lands One in Jail on Drug Charges

On November 11, 2018 at 12:50 am, Officers with the Marianna Police Department conducted a traffic stop on a 1999 Jeep SUV operated by Chip Weeks of Sneads, for an equipment violation.


During a consent search Officers located to methamphetamine smoking pips and a small quantity of Methamphetamine.


Weeks was charged with possession of Methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.  He was transported to the Jackson County Correction Facility to await first appearance.


Chief Baggett urges the citizens of Marianna to report suspicious behavior and activities to the Marianna Police Department at 850-526-3125.
