Traffic Stop Lands One in Jail on Drug Charges

On February 11, 2019, Officers with the Marianna Police Department conducted a traffic stop on a Chevrolet Work van for an equipment violation.
After identifying the passenger, Travis Moore, a computer check revealed he had an active warrant from Calhoun County, Georgia. During a search of his person incident to arrest, he was found to be in possession of small amount of Methamphetamine. A glass smoking pipe commonly used to ingest crack cocaine was also found in his pocket.
Since he had a warrant from Georgia, he was charged with being a fugitive from justice and possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.
Travis Moore was arrested and transported to the Jackson County Correction Facility to await first appearance.
