Traffic Stop Lands Two in Jail on Drug Charges

GORDON: This morning around 1:30 AM, Gordon Police conducted a traffic Stop on US 84 at Curtis Mixon Road. Chief Mock and Officer Jones asked the two occupants to step out of the vehicle. The husband of the female driver took off after some drugs were found inside the vehicle.


A short Foot pursuit and the husband James Robert Stephens was caught, but wasn’t done, Stephen began to fight with police but the law won and he went to jail.


Both were arrested on drug charges, but Mr. Stephens was also charged with assault 2nd for fighting with the offices.
