Traffic Stop Leads to a Chase and thena Foot Chase in Marianna

On February 21, 2019 at 0121 hours, Officers with the Marianna Police Department attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a blue Nissan Pickup truck driven by Frank Allen White Jr for an equipment violation.
White failed to stop for Officers and increased his speed. He led Officers on a pursuit down several side streets and drove through a residential yard. He eventually entered the Three Rivers Apartment Complex and exited the vehicle leading Officers on a foot chase through the complex. White entered one of the apartments with Officers close behind. Once inside he was taken into custody.
When White abandoned the vehicle, he left the motor running and the vehicle in gear. The vehicle moved forward under its own power and struck the perimeter fence causing damage to the fence and the vehicle.
White was transported to the Jackson County Correction Facility to await first appearance.
Chief Baggett urges the citizens of Marianna to report suspicious behavior and activities to the Marianna Police Department at 850-526-3125.
Arrestee: Frank Allen White Jr
Charges: Fleeing and Attempting to Elude Law Enforcement, Resisting Officer without Violence and Driving while license suspended.
