Traffic Stop Leads to an Arrest

On August 2, 2017, Chipley Police conducted a traffic stop of a vehicle in the area of Hwy 77 and Hwy 90 in Chipley Florida, after observing the vehicle sit through two light cycles at the intersection and observing that the vehicle had an obstructed tag. The officer made contact with the driver identified as Angela Kay Anderson, 43, of Chipley, who advised that she did not have a Florida license. While officers were conducting a records search in regards to Anderson the occupants were observed moving around in the vehicle. Chipley Police Department K-9, Stryker, was deployed and conducted a sniff of the vehicle giving an alert for the presence of narcotics. A search was conducted of the vehicle where officers found a baggie containing methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia. Anderson was arrested and transported to the Washington County Jail where she was booked on the charges of:
Possession of a Controlled Substance (Methamphetamine)
Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
