On January 9, 2019 Deputy Jere Jensen was dispatched to College St. in Malvern to a report of a vehicle that had been broken into and several items to include some weapons had been removed. Deputy Jensen completed the report and canvassed the area and received the desription of two males and a vehicle that had been seen in the area. Deputy Jensen worked the area until he spotted the described vehicle.
The tag on the vehicle was improper and he stopped the vehicle and identified a passenger as a suspect. Deputy Jensen notified Investigator Howerton who came to the scene. A search of the vehicle revealed two of the weapons that were stolen. The suspect was taken into custody and gave a statement to officers. Officers with the Sheriffs office, State Investigators and Slocomb Police later served a Search Warrant at a location in Malvern and arrested the second subject involved.
The investigation is continuing as other victims are being identified. Arrested were Jonathan Hansard and Derrick Davis. ( All persons are presumed innocent until adjudicated in court)
