Trees and Power Lines Down on Providence Road

HOUSTON COUNTY:  This afternoon the National Weather Service issued a severe thunderstorm warning for Geneva County, Jackson County and Houston County. Southern Junction Fire Department responded to the report of trees and power lines down on Providence Road and on New Hope Road. Houston County Sheriff’s Office, Houston County Road and Bridge, and Wiregrass Electric also responded.


One the power was off the trees were removed and Wiregrass Electric went to work restoring the power.
