Two Arrested on Drug Charges

A warrant service conducted Wednesday evening at a Fort Walton Beach area apartment led to the arrest of two people and confiscation of methamphetamine, fentanyl, marijuana, and cash. The Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit went to Apartment 43 at 1325 Greendale Avenue to serve warrants on 28-year old Ian Wilde of that address.

While at the residence another individual, later identified as Troy MaGill, came out the front door and Wilde could be seen inside. Deputies could smell marijuana coming from inside the apartment. Probable cause was developed to search the apartment and a search warrant was obtained.

Investigators found trafficking weights of controlled substances and a large sum of cash inside a safe. Wilde was subsequently charged with Trafficking in Methamphetamine (237 grams), Trafficking in Fentanyl (6 grams), Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Distribute (259 grams), Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Violation of Probation.

The U.S. currency was seized pending civil forfeiture. Troy MaGill of the same address was charged with Possession of Methamphetamine.
