Two Chipley men Charged with Burglary

On Friday, April 21, 2017, the Chipley Police Department responded to the address of 632 5th Street in reference to a Burglary. It was discovered that on a date prior, persons unknown had entered the residence and removed items in excess of 300 dollars.
Investigators on scene were advised of possible video evidence showing juveniles carrying the missing items from the residence. Investigators were able to determine the identity of the suspects and recover the stolen items stolen from the burglary on the same day.
The suspects were identified and charged with:
Steven Carlyle, Jr., 16, of Chipley – Burglary of a Structure and Grand Theft
Keyshaun Everett, 14, of Chipley – Burglary of a Structure and Grand Theft
Chief Thompson stated, I am appreciative of the cooperation and quick thinking of persons who assisted in this investigation. Community involvement greatly assists our efforts in the quick resolution of these cases. The protection of our citizens and their property is as always our top priority.
