Two people Arrested in Jackson County

On September 19, 2017 a K-9 Deputy with the Jackson County Sheriff's Department was patrolling the area of Hwy 69 and Hwy 90 in Grand Ridge. The K-9 Deputy, observed a traffic infraction and initiated a traffic stop near this intersection. Contact was made with the driver of the vehicle, Josh Patrick. When asked for his driver's license, Patrick, replied that he didn't have a license that they weren't valid. It was confirmed that his license were suspended.
There was also a passenger in the vehicle, who was identified as being Crystal Micheletti. While conducting a warrant check on her, K-9 “Max” was deployed to conduct a free air sniff of the exterior of the vehicle. K-9 “Max” did give a positive alert to the odor of narcotics emanating from within the vehicle at the passenger's side door where Micheletti had been seated. A search of the vehicle was conducted due to the positive alert. During the search the following items were located inside a purse; a pill bottle with no label, a small purple key chain canister and a folded up piece of aluminum foil with a yellow residue on it. When field tested the residue did show favorable signs of being Methamphetamine. In the pill bottle were 4 white oblong pills that were identified as being a schedule IV controlled substance. Inside the purple key chain canister 7 round white pills that were determined to be prescription medication.
Micheletti also had an active Warrant from Washington County, FL. Both Patrick and Micheletti were placed under arrest and transported to the Jackson County Correctional Facility to await first appearance.
Arrested: Josh Patrick, 42 years old, resident of Marianna, FL
Charge: Driving while license suspended- habitual offender
Arrested: Crystal Micheletti, 36 years old, resident of Greenwood, FL
Charges:
(1) Possession of a controlled substance
(2) Possession of drug paraphernalia
(3) Possession new legend drug without a prescription
