DOTHAN: At 9:40 PM... Dothan Police 911 dispatched Dothan Police Officers that a Gunshot victim has shown up at the Emergency Room. Dothan Police are responding, dispatch advised unknown location of the crime scene.


Police investigators are also responding to the hospital.


Reports are the gunshot victim was dropped off at the emergency room by a unknown vehicle and unlnown person.



UNCONFIRMED reports are the victim has possibly passed away from the gunshot wound.

Unconfirmed information the shooting might have occurred in the 700 bock of Monroe Street. Dothan Police and Dothan Police Crime Scene Investigators are on the scene.

Shortly after arrival by private auto at a Dothan hospital, 33 year old Jeremy Rashad Sanders was pronounced dead. He had been shot once under the left arm.


Dothan Police located the crime scene in the 700 block of Monroe Street. Dothan Police Criminal Investigators and Crime Scene Tech's responded.


As the investigation unfolded Dothan Criminal Investigators determined there had been a physical altercation between two women and Sanders was attempting to break up the altercation.


Dothan Police Criminal Investigators further determined one of the females pulled a firearm and alleged to have been attempting to shoot the other woman but struck Sanders instead.


Dothan Police Criminal Investigators took Suctorah Ty'keymah Duncan into custody charging her with one count of murder and one count of attempted murder. She was booked into the Dothan City Jail and will be or has been transferred to Houston County Jail under a $ 500,000.00 bond, which is in esscence a no bond.
