Cheers filled the room at Wiregrass Electric Cooperative’s main office in Hartford on Sept. 18 as the Wiregrass United Way Campaign Kickoff Bus Tour made its way through Geneva County.
The Geneva County High School marching band played tunes from their halftime show, which is a tribute to Simon and Garfunkel. The Bulldog cheerleaders fired up the crowd, and WEC made a donation to help the Wiregrass United Way reach its fundraising goal of $2.8 million.

The donation was $10,000 and made possible by a $5,000 grant to WEC from CoBank, a national bank serving cooperatives. WEC employees and our corporate contribution matched the grant for a total donation of $10,000.
