UPDATE on Body Found in Lake Eufaula

According to the Eufaula Tribune: A badly decomposed body, the second in seven months, has been found in Lake Eufaula on the Georgia shoreline, this one about a half-mile south of Lakepoint Resort State Park.




A 911 call came into the Eufaula Police Department on Wednesday, Dec. 26, and when it was determined it was actually in Georgia’s jurisdiction, the investigation was turned over to the Georgia department of Natural Resources, the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI), and the Quitman County Sheriff’s office, according to Eufaula Police Chief Steve Watkins.





The body is that of a male, but his identity has yet to be determined.
