HOUSTON COUNTY:  6:46 PM.   A Alabama State Trooper had a male subject bolt from the vehicle in the 5700 block of North County 75. There was a female that remained in the vehicle.


There is reported to be a crowd around the Trooper.


Multiple Houston County Sheriff Deputies rolled that direction running emergency. Deputies have a residence surrounded awaiting additional deputies.


Columbia Police units are also on the scene.

Houston County Sheriff Deputies have one subject detained at this time.

The east end of Houston County has been busy for the Houston County Sheriff Department this evening.


The Alabama State Trooper was on North County Road 75 when a male ran from the Trooper. Deputies responded to the Trooper. It is unknown the outcome of that call.


Then east of the Webb area, a complaint of shooting into an occupied vehicle in a dispute over gas money. Two persons were detained and questioned. A Houston County Sheriff Criminal Investigator was called to investigate. At this time it is not known if arrests are made.


On Ebeenezer Church Road a complaint of threats being made that could have possibly involved a shooting. No one was shot but reports of threats being made.


A complaint inside the city limits of Columbia.


All calls were going on at the same time.
