GENEVA COUNTY: Reports of a large feild and woods fire in the 300 block of Grant Road. Multiple fire units from Fadette, Malver and Slocomb are on the scene and have requested units from Hartford. Firefighters are working to contain the fire at this time. Use caution if traveling in this area.

Through the night Smoke will be in the area. Motorists in the area please use caution. Geneva County Commissioner Bryan Hatton got signs posted to warn motorists. ALDOT  said they had no signs available for this State Road to warn motorists. Once again the locals had to do the state’s Job. 

But then again the Sheriff should contact his local Emergency Management Director and involve her. She could have probably gotten the signs. The Geneva County Emergency Management Director should have been notified and involved. WAKE UP SHERIFF and 911 Center.

Geneva County Emergency Management Director Misty Wise could be a lot of assistance if Certian county officials could pry their head out from between the cheeks of their buttocks Long enough to smell the roses. Because where their heads are, well you know what they are smelling.
