GORDON:    09:52 AM     Houston County Sheriff Deputies are responding to Gordon Town Hall to a disorderly call.

The disorderly is between the Gordon Mayor and a terminated employee.

The Mayor is on bond for several felonies. Since his tenure as Mayor there has been a lot of controversy.

The first Sheriff Deputy arrived and cancelled the back up. Everything was calm when the Deputy arrived.

The east end of Houston County has been plagued with problems in some municipalities. In Ashford a councilman was elected who did not live in his district. The issue was taken to court and 20th Judicial Circuit Court Judge Brad Mendheim ruled he was not qualified to seek the office. The councilman was forced out.

In Columbia, the Mayor and his wife have been the center of turmoil. The Mayor's wife is alleged to have committed acts that stopped the Town of Columbia from getting SARCOA funds for the Senior Citizens Center. All but two of the council members have had there heads in the sand and butts in the air, acting stupid and not putting thier foots down.

The Mayor took an advance on his vacation as over the water board. The Columbia Water Board consists of one person, the Mayor LMAO!!!! Then the Columbia Police Chief has a car repaired, over $ 1,500.00 on a car that no one knew the City owned. And that was without prior approval from the city council. 

The city council members, well two of them have, been asking for delinquent water accounts. The water clerk told the council she gives them to the Mayor. The council has yet to see any. The Mayor was not at the last council meeting. The Acting Mayor was "acting" like she did not know what to do. And the City Attorney - he could not answer what time it was much less any important question.
