HOUSTON COUNTY:    12:07 AM.   HOUSTON COUNTY SHERIFF 911 dispatched a firearm assault on Sunrise Drive off Fortner Street. Houston County Sheriff Deputies, Taylor Police, Taylor Fire and local EMS responded to the scene.


The scene is in the 400 block of Sunrise Drive.


The initial reports are the gunshot wound is self inflicted.


Law Enforcement, Fire and EMS have just arrived on the scene. Houston County Sheriff Patrol has requested Sheriff Criminal Investigation Unit to respond. At this time the preliminary information is self inflicted gunshot wound.


As more information develops we will update.

The victim of the gunshot was deceased when law enforcement, fire and EMS arrived. Sheriff Criminal Investigation conducting investigation.


Houston County Coroner’s Office dispatched to the scene.
