DOTHAN:     12:50 PM    Dothan 911 dispatched multiple police - fire - EMS to Highway 231 South and Saunders Road to a serious motor vehicle accident.

Multiple vehicles are involved. There is reported entrapment. Both north bound lanes are block on Highway 231 South.

UPDATED @ 1:44 PM

Dothan Police have called for 5 wreckers to respond to the scene. They have also confirmed a fatality on the scene and called for Houston County Coroner Robert Byrd to respond.

UPDATED @ 1:45 PM...

A total of four people were transported by ambulances to the hospital. Two were Trauma Alerts. One person it confirmed dead on the scene. The accident is being investigated by the Dothan Police Crash Team. This intersection will remain closed for at least another hour.
