DOTHAN:   Because of the weather the Dothan Municipal Elections for District 2 Dothan Commissioner were postponed until Tuesday, September 19, 2017.


The polls will open at 7 AM and close at 7 PM. The polling places for this race are Wiregrass Park on Sixth Avenue and the Dothan Civic Center - basement on southside.


The incumbent Amos Newsome was defeated in the primary. The contenders are Janesky Flemming and Jemmie Watford.


CAUGHT ON VIDEO


CAUGHT ON VIDEO... " The Dot UNPLUGGED" is a program that Jemmie Watford has. A female was caught on video. The lady said "dot" told her to take the sign down.


THE CANDIDATES


The two candidates, Janesky Flemming, is the favorite candidate in this race. He will bring to the table professionalism and cooperation needed to move Dothan forward. Fleming is a coach at Northview High School.

Jemmie Watford stopped by my office. He does not know this lady and had nothing to do with this and has no knowledge of this lady. The lady did say "dot", which could be reference to Alabama Department of Transportation and not Jemmie. But he does not know the lady and she was not operating on his authority or behalf.
