UPDATED @ 5:13 PM      MYPANHANDLE has spoken with Liberty County Sheriff Eddie White who has updated them on circumstances of the deaths at Liberty County High School ball fields.


The two adults were electrocuted while working on Liberty High School baseball field.


MYPANHANDLE reports like many places in the panhandle was damaged by Hurricane Michael. The school field suffered damage so the coach and members of the baseball team organized a group clean up Sunday morning.


About 25 to 30 people were working on the ball field along with the coach, his family and team members which the incident occurred shortly after noon.


Reports are the coach was running a piece of equipment when it impacted a high power line and the piece of equipment became electrified and was killed. A white female attempted to render assistance and was electrocuted and killed. A member of the team came up to help and was electrified but knocked away from the incident. The team member of reported in stable condition. The team member was transported to Shands Hospital.

LIBERTY COUNTY FL ( Bristol ) :  3:14 PM     The Liberty County Florida Sheriff Department is on the scene of the ball fields at Liberty County High School where two people are confirmed dead.


WMBB TV out of Panama City reports via TWITTER one hour ago they confirm a juvenile is injured and two adults are dead.


No more details are known at this time.


Liberty County Florida, according to 2010 census, has a population of 8,365 people. That count made it the least populous county in the State of Florida. The county seat is Bristol. The Apalachicola National Forest occupies half the county.


In 2017 the population is reported at 8,242.


A lot of people go to Sumatra fishing which is located in Liberty County Florida.

"At this time all students which were at the Liberty County High School Baseball Field are being bussed to the Liberty County High School Gym by school officials. Parents are welcome to join their children at the gym. Grief counselors are on scene to assist students and their families." SHERIFF EDDIE JOE WHITE
