DOTHAN:  2:53 PM.   Dothan Police 911 dispatched a shooting at Selma Street at Sixth Avenue. Dothan Fire and Pilcher Ambulance transported one victim from the shooting, trauma alert, to a Dothan hospital.

Dothan Police has a house surrounded on Sixth Avenue. Area streets are blocked. A suspect is possibly in a house that police have surrounded.

Dothan Police are still on the scene. SWAT Team Members are on the scene. 

One suspect has exited the residence and been transported to Dothan Police Criminal Investigation Division. That suspect is a juvenile. One suspect is reported to still be in the house in the 900 block of Sixth Avenue.

Dothan Police have Selma Street blocked at Gregory Street to the forks at Mercury Drive and Sixth Avenue from Mercury Drive to Selma Street.

Dothan Fire and Pilcher Ambulance are staged. A rehab unit is set up for emergency units at Grandview School.

One suspect was reported to still be in the house.

The victim was reported to have been shot in the chest and head. The condition of the victim is not known at this time.

Dothan Police have evacuated houses next to where the suspect is reported to be. Parks Chapel Church has opened their doors for those displaced residents. Dothan Police Steve Parrish thanks the church for their assistance.

DOTHAN POLICE still have the house surrounded. The Special Response Team is on the scene.

Reports are the victim is deceased.

We stopped the livestream because of police activity. You never know if the suspect is watching and RSN will not place any law enforcement in danger.

A lot of police activity in an effort to capture the suspect reported to be held up in a house.

Dothan Fire Department and Dothan - Houston County Emergency Management Director Chris Judah have provided water and Gatorade to the first responders.

UPDATED @ 5:40 pm...

Dothan Police SRT (Special Response Team) made entry and have cleared the house where the suspect was allegedly was held up in. Officers still have the area blocked off due to the crime scene being processed. Investigators now have to collect all evidence and locate the shooter.

UPDATED @ 6:00 PM..

We have just learned that the suspect has turned himself in at the Dothan Police Department.
