HENRY COUNTY:     Henry County Sheriff Will Maddox, personally, members of Henry County Sheriff Department, multiple other agencies and UNPAID PROFESSIONALS ended the search around 8 PM tonight.


Sheriff Maddox and the multiple agencies and UNPAID PROFESSIONALS will hit the water again at 8 AM Sunday.


One body was recovered Friday morning. Two other persons are missing. No boat has been found.


One of the three men wore a prosthesis. The prosthesis was recovered Friday morning.


Over 256 fisherman are on Lake Eufaula for a fishing tournament. There have been no reports of boats found or bodies.


Cadaever search dogs have made several hits on a area. Divers and drag units have not found anything.


The three men’s truck and trailer are still at Thomas Mill Creek Landing. 


Please pray for these men, the families, Sheriff Will Maddox and the host of team members with Sheriff Maddox as they continue the search Sunday.

UPDATED @ 6:52 PM. SUNDAY EVENING


On Sunday Morning a host of departments, paid and unpaid agencies, began to arrive at 8 AM on Thomas Mill Creek in Henry County.


Houston County Sheriff Donald Valenza, personally, and members of Houston County Sheriff Dive Team responded. Sheriff Valenza spent all day on the boat on the water.


Also assisting Henry County Sheriff Will Maddox, personally, was Dale County Sheriff Wally Olson. Dale County Sheriff Chief Deputy Mason Bynum and Barbour County Sheriff Chief Deputy Dollar also assisted.


Just before 5 PM Dale County Sheriff Helicopter Pilot Mike Quiller notified Command they had spotted a body floating. The search boats responded to the area and recovered the second body of the three men missing.


Henry County Coroner Derek Wright identified the body as John White of Henry County. NOTE:  This IS NOT the John White who served as Dothan Police Chief or the John White that worked with Dothan Fire Department.


A special thanks to M1 located at Ft. Rucker. They employ two part time pilots, Retired Dale County Sheriff Chief Deputy Tim McDonald and Mike Quiller, and M1 allowed them to take Friday to fly this search mission. Both McDonald and Quiller gave their weekend as did Dale County Sheriff Deputy Joe Weaver.

Jackie Smith, Dothan - Houston County Emergency Management Director Chris Judah and members of EMA Staff, Dothan Police Communications Supervisor Amy Elliot and Tori Garrett, Henry County Sheriff Will Maddox, members of Henry County Sheriff Department and Henry County Sheriff Reserve, Henry County Rescue, Henry County Emergency Management Director Ronnie Dollar, Screamer Volunteer Fire Department, Henry County Probate Judge/Commission Chairman David Money, Wicksburg Fire - Rescue, Dale County Sheriff Wally Olson, Chief Deputy Mason Bynum, Captain Anderson, Joe Weaver, Tim McDonald, Mike Quiller, Damon Woodall, Eric Blakenship, Chief Deputy Nicewinger, Abbeville Police Dispatcher, Harrison Parrish, a doctor who lived near command. And many...many more involved.


The search will begin at 8AM on Monday morning for the third victim. After the second one search crews worked until darl but the third victim has not been recovered.


All involved still pray for a rescue but not much hope.


The boat has not been found at this time.
