MIDLAND CITY: 3:09 AM. Law Enforcement Officers from all over responded to Midland City about 3:09 AM to a Midland City Officer In Trouble.
The call was at Midland City Apartments where a Midland City Officer was being held at gunpoint. Reports were a second suspect had gotten into a Midland City Police Officers Police Cruiser.
Dale County Sheriff Deputies, Houston County Sheriff Deputies, Dothan Police were among the agencies that responded to the officer in distress call.
Shots were fired and reports are at least one suspect was shot. The suspect was transported to Flowers Hospital.
Dothan Fire was called and responded.
The suspect condition is not known or which agency that was required to actually use deadly physical force is not known at this time.

Midland City Police Chief Walker, Midland City Police, State Bureau Of Investigation Officers With Alabama Department of Law Enforcement, Dothan Police Internal Affairs are still on the scene of a officer involved shooting at Apt. 104 Midtown Apartments In Midland City.
Chief Walker of Midland City Police Department said Midland City Officers responded to a domestic call about 1:15 AM. The suspect barricaded himself in the apartment.
The situation escalated quickly. The Midland City Officer was not held at gunpoint as originally thought as things unfolded this morning.
Dale County Sheriff Wally Olson and members of Dale County Sheriff Department rolled.
Henry County Sheriff Will Maddox rolled six members of his SRT Team arriving within 15 minutes of the call.
Houston County Sheriff Donald Valenza rolled multiple deputies.
Dothan Police Chief Steve Parrish rolled multiple Dothan Police Officers.
The suspect exited the residence with a weapon. After the suspects failure to follow commands of law enforcement a officer was FORCED to use deadly physical force by shooting the suspect.
Dothan Police fired the shot striking the suspect
In speaking with Chief Walker the suspect was transported to Flowers Hospital. The suspect is alive and at this is expected to live.
A thorough scene investigation is being conducted.
State Bureau Of Investigation Of the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency is expected to officially release more details later today.

DOTHAN POLICE PRESS RELEASE ONE HOUR AGO ( 7:35 AM ) VIA FACEBOOK
Dothan Police responded to a mutual aid request in Midland City around 3:00 AM this morning regarding a barricaded gunman in an apartment at Midtown Apartments. The Dothan Police Tactical team was called out and supervisors were sent from DPD to assess the situation. While the situation was being evaluated by law enforcement, the suspect confronted officers at the scene and was brandishing a handgun. He pointed it at the police officers and he was shot one time. He has been taken to a local hospital and is undergoing surgery for his wounds. He is expected to survive.
The officer involved in the shooting is a Dothan PD supervisor. The investigation is being conducted by the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency at the request of the Dothan Police Chief.
Midland City PD is charging the suspect with multiple crimes and we will defer to them for further details as to his identity and the events that lead up to the standoff.
Other agencies responding to the scene were the Henry and Houston County Sheriffs Offices.
This investigation will be ongoing for several days and more details should be available for release on Monday.
