DALE COUNTY:  At about 6:50 PM Ozark - Dale County 911 dispatched a vehicle verses tree accident in Dale County.


The accident location was the 3000 block of County 51. Reports were Vehicle verses a tree.


Then immediate 911 reports accident verses a pedestrian.


The trauma alert accident made emergency responders request air transport. That air unit could not fly due to the weather.


IT IS MY INCONFIRMED UNDERSTANDING a person was sitting in a chair in a yard. The driver of a vehicle swerved to miss a tree in the road and struck a person who was sitting in a chair. The injured was transported to Dale Medical Center where they were pronounced dead.

DOTHAN POST – A single-vehicle crash Thursday, July 13, claimed the life of a pedestrian. Angelia Joan Pendleton, 50, of Clio was critically injured when she was struck by a 1997 Ford F-150 driven by Raymundo Rivera-Bravo, 64, of Louisville. Pendleton was transported to Dale Medical Center, where she died a short time later. Rivera-Bravo was not injured. The preliminary investigation indicates that Pendleton was involved in a crash moments before, and she was outside her vehicle when she was struck by the Ford. The crash occurred at 6:40 p.m. on Alabama 51 at the 19.56 mile marker, three miles north of Ariton. Nothing further is available as Alabama State Troopers continue to investigate.
