DOTHAN: 3:25 PM. Dothan 911 dispatched Dothan Police to Southeast Alabama Medical Center AKA Southeast Healthcare to the trauma room. A male subject was presented to the Emergency Room staff suffering a gunshot wound.
Dothan Police responded to the Emrgency Department of SAMC AKA Southeast Healthcare.
A brief investigation Dothan Police Sgt. Jason Weed dispatched officers to the dead end of North Cherry Street. That is the location the preliminary and brief investigation revealed the shooting occurred.
Multiple Dothan Police units responded to North Cherry Street to locate the crime scene.
The victim relayed to Dothan Police that he was shot in the back by persons in a vehicle.
Dothan Criminal Investigators have responded to SAMC AKA Southeast Healthcare to investigate with the victim. On North Cherry Street Dothan Police Criminal Investigations COmmander Lynn Watkins is on the scene.
At this time do not know the extent of the gunshot victim’s condition.

The last name on the victim, UNCONFIRMED BY AUTHORITIES, is Tyson. As we understand Dothan Police have some juvenile suspects in Criminal Investigation Division being questioned about the shooting.
