PIKE COUNTY, AL (WSFA)Alabama State Troopers have identified one of the victim’s in a fatal multi-vehicle crash that happened on U.S. Highway 231 Monday afternoon.


Trooper Kevin Cook with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency says Debra Meyers Askew, 61 of Brundidge, has been identified as one of three victims.


Troopers are still working to locate the next of kin of the other two victims, Cook says. Their identities will be released pending that notification.


The crash happened near mile marker 58, which is at the Pike/Coffee County line. A tractor-trailer and two passenger vehicles were involved.

 Robert C. Pecnick, 49, and his wife Suzette, 46, of St. Augustine, FL, have been identified as the victims.
