UPDATED at 1:18 PM... Motor Vehicle Accident at North County 33 and Pleasant Road

HOUSTON COUNTY:  Ashford Police, Ashford Fire and Ashford Rescue responded to a report of a motor vehicle crash at North County 33 and Pleasant Grove Road.

Reports are one person entrapped and one vehicle fully involved in fire.  One person transported by ambulance to the hospital. Dothan Fire Engine 5 was requested mutual Aid to help with patient care.

Houston County Sheriff’s Office and Dothan Houston County Emergency Management also responded. The area where the crash occurred is closed until it can be cleaned up.

The cause of the crash is under investigation by the Alabama State Troopers.

The entrapped person has been extricated and Ashford Rescue is transporting and meeting Dothan Fire enroute.

A two-vehicle crash at 7:20 a.m. Tuesday, February 13, has injured two people.  Corey N. Smith, Cantonment, FL, was seriously injured when the 1996 GMC Sonoma he was driving collided with a 2007 GMC Yukon driven

 One driver were transported to Southeast Alabama Medical Center for treatment of his injuries. The crash occurred on County Road 33 in Houston County just north of Pleasant Grove Rd. Nothing further is available as State Troopers continue to investigate.
