DOTHAN:  Dothan Airport Fire has reported an Alert 2 due to a small plane with landing gear problems coming into the Dothan Airport.


Reports are the plane has two people on board with 3 hours of fuel. Dothan Fire units are responding to back up the Airport Fire Department.


UPDATED @ 11:17 AM..


The aircraft is flying around the airport attempting to burn fuel before attempting to land. The aircraft is still having landing gear issues and fire department are still on scene.  


UPDATED @ 12:18 PM


The aircraft continues to circle burning fuel. Reports are landing gears are down but indicators in aircraft do not show locked.


The aircraft had three hours of fuel at 10:40 AM when trouble reported. Attempting to burn fuel before landing attempt.


Emergency units are on standby.


UPDATED @ 12:34 PM...


The aircraft landed safely and all 1st responders are clearing the airport at this time.
