UPDATED at 1:30 PM... Motor Vehicle Accident on 84 East at Fellows Road

HOUSTON COUNTY:  7:22 AM.. Motor vehicle accident at  Fellows Road and US 84 East. Multiple fire units from Cowarts and Ashford responded to a 2 vehicle accident with entrapment. They have confirmed one fatality.

Will update more when we have it.

Dothan Fire was requested for mutal aid for Ashford Rescue. One driver was transported to the hospital. Ashford Police, Houston County Sheriff's Deputies and member of Dothan-Houston County EMA aslo responded.

The accident is being investigated by the Alabama State Troopers.

We are withholding all pictures until the family has been notified.

DOTHAN POST – A two-vehicle crash at 7:20 a.m. Monday, April 16, has claimed the life of a Ashford man and injured one other. Seaby Gene Bess , 79, was critically injured when the 2007 Chevrolet Corvette he was driving, was struck by a 2005 Toyota Camry driven by Priscilla Marie Powell, 56, of Ashford. Powell was transported by Ashford Rescue to Southeast Alabama Medical Center for her injuries. The crash occurred on U.S. 84 at the intersection of Sage Road, 4 miles east of Dothan. Nothing further is available as State Troopers continue to investigate.
