UPDATED at 4:35 PM… Developing: Stand Off in Ashford

ASHFORD: Around 2:45 PM… Ashford Police and Houston County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a domestic call just off Pleasant Grove Road. The suspect barricaded himself inside and refused to come out. A call for more help went out and multiple deputies responded.

Deputies and Police setup a perimeter around the home and tried to make contact.

At 3:11 PM… Units still have the home surrounded. Due to the natural and officer safety we have held off on posting for a while.

Chief Vann asked that everyone please find an alternate route to avoid that area until this is over.

UPDATED @ 4:35 PM..

The suspect has surrendered to law enforcement and is now in custody being transported to the Houston County Jail.

Sheriff Valenza was on the scene. Gordon Police Chief Mock and Cottonwood Police Chief Money were also on scene assisting.
