DOTHAN: At 6:22 PM Dothan Police and Dothan fire responded to a report of a firearm assault at 700 South range Street. Reports are one person with a gunshot wound to the right hip.
Police on the scene advised the injury did not appear to be life threatening. Dothan Fire Engine 4 is on the scene and treating the victim.

Police advised they think the suspect vehicle is a silver passenger car. One was spotted in the area but it was occupied by two elderly females. The victim was transported to the hospital and medics called a Trauma Alert with PD escorting the Ambulance to the hospital.
