ENTERPRISE:   06:23 AM.   Enterprise Police are investigating an early morning shooting in the parking lot of Waffle House.

In what appeared to be a verbal altercation between two that started inside Waffle. House then apparently went to a physical altercation in the parking lot. During the physical altercation one of the persons was shot in the femer.

Enterprise Rescue responded. The wounded was flown by helicopter to a hospital.

The Waffle House Has crime scene tape. Enterprise Criminal Investiation Division is conducting an investigation.

On November 24, 2017, at 4:26 AM, the Enterprise Police Department responded to a shooting at Waffle House 637 Boll Weevil Circle Enterprise, AL.  During the investigation, EPD Detectives determined the suspect and the victim were involved

In a verbal and physical altercation inside the restaurant.  The victim and the suspect exited the restaurant and the altercation continued in the parking lot.  During the altercation in the parking lot, the suspect pulled a handgun and fired a single shot striking the victim in the leg.  The victim was transported by air ambulance to a hospital for treatment. 

EPD Detectives arrested and charged Joshua Clayton Ward, age 30, of New Brockton, AL with Assault 1^st.  Ward was transported to the Coffee County Jail after arrest.
