US Marshal killed in Harrisburg shooting, gunman critically injured

HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHP) - A U.S. Marshal was shot and killed while serving a warrant in Harrisburg, according to Harrisburg Mayor Eric Papenfuse.


Three officers were shot while serving a warrant around 6:30 a.m. on the 1800 block of Mulberry Street, the mayor explained.


The U.S. Marshal was killed in the shooting and two others, including a Harrisburg and York City police officer assigned to the U.S. Marshals Task Force, were injured. They were taken to the hospital where they are being treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
