Visit To Coffee County Looking For Skip Neuwine - Could Not Locate Him At Work

COFFEE COUNTY:      The Coffee County elections and Coffee County/Pike County Circuit Judgeship races have been interesting to me.

The District Attorney for Coffee and Pike County, Tom Anderson, has three from his office seeking elections: one for Sheriff of Coffee County, one for Circuit Clerk of Coffee County, and one for Circuit Judge of Coffee and Pike County.

That is a major conflict when the Coffee - Pike County District Attorney wants to control the judicial system in Coffee and Pike County.

OF MAJOR CONCERN IS COFFEE COUNTY SHERIFF 

AND

COFFEE - PIKE COUNTY CIRCUIT COURT JUDGESHIP

The incumbent Sheriff for Coffee County is Dave Sutton. The current term is the third consecutive term of Dave Sutton as Coffee County Sheriff. He is currently the sitting President of the Alabama Sheriff Association.

Seeking to unseat Sheriff Sutton is the District Attorney Investigator for Coffee and Pike County, Skip Neuwien. He is the son of Sue Neuwien who controls the Republican Party for Coffee County. And she attempts to control the other counties. The female version of Convicted Mike Hubbard, the former Speaker of the House for Alabama. Hubbard was a control freak for the Alabama Republican Party. Sue is one for the Coffee County Republican Party. And she runs to other counties as well.

Skip Neuwien sent a mail out this week. The mail out accused Sheriff Sutton over not being transparent on how the money from the prisoner food account has been spent. For the record Sheriff Dave Sutton has always answered every question RSN has asked, been open and forthcoming, honest and above reproach.

We asked in a article of Skip about his leaving the employment of Enterprise Police Department and his wife leaving. There were questions as to time sheets being fudged and Skip being the benefactor. RSN said if we are wrong, Skip provide the employment records.

To date Skip has not provided those records.

In the mail out Skip claims that he will be transparent. But he is not transparent in providing details for himself and his wife's employment with Enterprise Police Department and the personnel files to see if there was in fact an investigation into wrong doing. The City of Enterprise will not provide those detail records but Skip can go with us and get those records.

This morning RSN went to the District Attorney Office in Enterprise. We live streamed the visit. Skip Neuwien in out of the office today, Monday is a holiday, and will be back in on Tuesday. That is election day and to late.

So we will not give an answer.

The clear choice for Sheriff in Coffee County is Dave Sutton. Electing Skip is bad for the citizens and guests of Coffee County. Skip does not have the experience nor the management experience in order to manage the Coffee County Sheriff Department.

Dave Sutton is an effective Sheriff. He works. He active manages the department and is active in the field. If Dave Sutton tells you something you can count on the fact it is not a political answer, but a truthful answer.

CIRCUIT JUDGE

Two are running for Coffee - Pike County Circuit Court Judge. The two are Sonny Reagan and Josh Wilson.

Wilson is an Assistant District Attorney for District Attorney Tom Anderson for Coffee and Pike Counties. Reagan is retired from the Alabama Attorney General's Office and a Coffee County native. After his retirement he moved back to Enterprise and open his law practice.

Reagan will best serve the people of Coffee and Pike Counties. He has extensive trial practice in all areas of the law. He is fair. He will serve with the utmost integrity and respect for all before the court.

The Judge does not need to be a member of the District Attorney Office. But one that will be fair and impartial, listen to the facts and testimony and make a fair ruling for justice.
