Volunteer coaches needed for Special Olympic swim team

The Dothan Special Olympics program is seeking volunteers to serve as coaches for our competitive swim team. Practice is held on Tuesday’s and Thursday’s from 1p.m.-2p.m. at the Westgate indoor pool. This volunteer position will provide instruction and motivation for swim team participants and is expected to attend practice and team functions.
Volunteers are required to complete a volunteer form and online Protective Behavior training. A background check is also required and must be completed before volunteer activities can begin. Experience of 2+ years as a competitive swimmer is preferred or 2+ years swim coaching experience. Certification in CPR, AED and First Aid required.
