HOUSTON COUNTY: Saturday the Southern Junction Volunteer Fire Departement hosted a Vehicle extrication Class. Members from Southern Junction, Madrid, Hodgesville and Rehobeth came to gather to learn about and how to complete a vehicle extrication where people maybe trapped in the vehicles after bad wrecks and how to do it safely for both the volunteers and the victims.
The classe lasted four hours and Hodgesville Fire Chief Jack Wood was the instructor. The volunteers all agreed it was a much needed training and all felt better about having to use the equipment in a real emergency.
16 Volunteer Firefighters attend the class. The volunteers that attended the class would like to give a special thanks to Jason Harger for providing breakfast and drinks and services needed for the class.
The class was held at Todd’s Wrecker Service on Cottonwood Road.
