Warming Stations for the Wiregrass Area

If additional Warming Stations open up in the Wiregrass, they will be posted below as soon as info is available.




COFFEE COUNTY
For those in the Enterprise Area needing shelter Tuesday night, January 29th, call (334) 470-0349.



GENEVA COUNTY
Hartford Residents: Hartford Police Chief said protection from cold temperatures will be on an as needed basis. Requests for shelter on Tuesday evening, January 29th should be directed to the police department at 334-588-2222.


Geneva Residents: The Geneva Ministerial Association has a contingency plan to open up a warming station anytime the temperature is projected to fall below 25°, however, Purpose and Promise Ministry, 312 W. Magnolia in Geneva, is planning to open up tomorrow (Wednesday) morning at 8:15 to provide hot beverages to the Community.



HOUSTON COUNTY
The First Baptist Church Dothan, 300 West Main St. will open a Warming Station in the Family Life Center directly behind the Church on Tuesday night at 7 p.m., January 29th. There will be no check-ins past 9 p.m. Cots will be spread out and a warm place provided for the night. Soup, snacks, coffee and drinks will also be provided.


Two groups of volunteers are neededto work from either 7 p.m. until 1 a.m. or 1 a.m. until 7 a.m. If you would like to volunteer, you must call ahead of time at 334-790-4031.


Needed supplies: Blankets, pillows, pillow cases, snack foods and large print Bibles. Items can be dropped off at the Family Life Center behind First Baptist Church beginning at 8 a.m. Monday morning, January 28th.


Remember, a warming station in Dothan opens when temperatures are 28 degrees or lower..
