Warrant Check lands One in Jail on Drug Charges

On Thursday December 20^th , 2018, a Jackson County Sheriff's Office K9 Deputy responded, along with other units, to a possible subject with an active warrant out of Jackson County, FL within a silver in color GMC pickup. The deputies responded to the Agricultural Center located on Penn Ave. During the course of the investigation, K9 Roxy was deployed around the vehicle. K9 Roxy showed a positive alert on the silver in color GMC pickup occupied by Jessie Hunter (driver) and Samantha Yelle (front seat passenger).

Due to the positive alert given by K9 Roxy a probable cause search was conducted. During the probable cause search it was discovered that Ms. Yelle was in possession of an amount of methamphetamine consistent with the intent to sell/distribute, along with a scale and multiple unused baggies. Ms. Yelle was also found to be in possession of a glass smoking pipe, 5 prescription narcotic pills without a prescription, as well as several other items of paraphernalia. The probable cause search also revealed that Mr. Hunter was also in possession of methamphetamine as well as a glass smoking pipe. Both occupants were placed under arrest and transported to the Jackson County Correctional Facility.
