DOTHAN: Tonight I noticed that Weston Spivey was a guest at Dothan’s Tuesday Rotary Club.
This young man, at age 18, was elected as Geneva County Commissioner. He graduated high school during the campaign. He is in business with his family.
Weston is a young man that I admire very much. He is now an elected official that will take office in November.
Weston is an inspiration to what can be done when you roll your sleeves up and go to work. All you need is the courage to try, then work hard to achieve your goal.
During the campaign one seasoned politician remarked that it was hard to believe the registered voters would elect a 18 year old. I laughed to myself thinking, this is obviously a 18 year old you do not know. This is a very smart, ambitious 18 year old. One who has values and wisdom to lead. Not afraid to get out the box, be innovative with fresh new positive ideas.
I am proud and honored that I have had the opportunity in life to meet Weston Spivey. And he will do great things in life and for Geneva County.

It was great to be a guest today at the Dothan Rotary Club. Thank you Michael Smith Manager at ServisFirst bank for inviting me. It was also great to see my friend Brad Kimbro from Wiregrass electric and Bradley Bedwell owner of budget CPA.
