HOUSTON COUNTY: The Houston County Jail Commander, James Brazier, tried to do the best he can do. But sometimes with employees it makes it difficult.

For a 30 minutes process it takes hours upon hours in order to book people into the county jail and be released. And that offense can be as simple as a speeding ticket that was not paid.

A family has waited now about about 6 hours. The smurkey jail staff said they can not even give a an approximate time this person will be processed in order to give the family a idea.

The Houston County Jail is AWFUL - and I mean AWFUL on getting people booked in and released. And it is a simple issue - organization and management.

TO THE PEOPLE WHO VOTED FOR SHERIFF DONALD VALENZA - the ones working tonight at 10:34 PM on February 12, 2019 could care less the family and parents are treated like dog manure in waiting until your staff get's the people booked in.

To Sheriff Valenza's credit I have not personally brought this issue to his attention. But know something... I have 43 years in the system and know what I am talking about.

It takes something career government officials are not good at - getting out of the box and thinking.

This is a simple issue. If you have to bring the Houston County Commission Chairman and Commissioners down there. Get the staff streamlined and get out of your box and get it organized and flowing smooth. Because all I hear is excuses. Shut the excuses up and get it fixed!

I told this family that has been waiting. The people hired by Houston County Sheriff Donald Valenza do not give a rat's behind and your family member will be released when they get him released. Until then they do not give one rat's butt how long you wait or how it bothers you.

Sorry, wish I could tell you there were leaders ( Brazier excluded ). But so far there are BOLO'S for some leaders but none have been found.
