Wiregrass Habitat for Humanity to Receive House Sponsorship from Publix Super Markets Charities

Dothan- Wiregrass Habitat for Humanity is pleased to announce the privilege to once again work with Publix Super Market Charities in 2018 as they will be providing a full house sponsorship for a future Wiregrass Habitat for Humanity homeowner.

Wiregrass Habitat for Humanity will build a home for a qualified family in 2018 alongside Publix employees and other community volunteers. Wiregrass Habitat for Humanity is one of multiple Habitat for Humanity affiliates to receive a full house sponsorship in 2018. They will celebrate the announcement of the sponsorship on Friday, December 8th, at 2:00 p.m. with employees from local Publix Super Markets as well as members of the community at the Wiregrass Habitat for Humanity office located at 2086 Montgomery Highway.

Amy Schutz, Executive Director with Wiregrass Habitat for Humanity, said "It is only through partnerships can Wiregrass Habitat for Humanity work towards a community where everyone has a decent place to live. We truly appreciate the support of Publix Super Market Charities and the local employees in helping us to advance our mission in the Wiregrass to provide affordable housing opportunities."

Through volunteer labor and donations of money and materials, Wiregrass Habitat builds and renovates simple, decent affordable homes with the help of homeowner families. Wiregrass Habitat houses are sold to future Habitat homeowner families at no profit, financed with 0% interest mortgages.
