Words of wisdom from my friend John Gormley.......Via Dewight Deal

To be fair, I have not heard any negative comments concerning Andy Hughes' training or education. The negatives I hear are that he left abruptly without any apparent concern about how the office would be impacted by no candidate being able to qualify by the established rules. He obviously had confidence that then Chief Deputy Valenza would take the reins.

Another comment I hear is that his running for "re-election" is deceptive. Although the "re-election" may be technically correct it reflects poorly from an ethical standpoint. Many people have commented on the use of the term by someone not an incumbent.

Also, some people seem to be upset with him for leaving and then coming back when the state job didn't work out and thinking he could pick up where he left off. They point out how Tom Sorrells tried to do the same thing when Doug Valeska became the replacement district attorney. Mr. Sorrells was soundly defeated.
