HOUSTON COUNTY:     You can run but you can not hide!


Bail Enforcement Agents from Guaranteed Bonding, A - Ability Bonding and A- Advantage Bonding chased a fugitive around the country last week.


The trip started last Monday and ended on Friday night.


The Bail Enforcement Agents left Dothan Alabama on MOnday and traveled to Arizona in pursuit of Keith Bernard Baggett, Jr. 


After arriving in Arizona the agents chased down leads in efforts to locate Baggett. But he was not there. 


The investigation then turn about a location in West Virginia. So the trip from Arizona to West Virginia took place.


On Friday evening th Bail ENforcement Agents, Ricky Beck and Toby Stacey, along with local law enforcement hit the place where Bagwell was reported to be at. He was taken into custody without incident.


Allin all the Bail ENforcement Agents traveled through 14 states in six days and 4,797 miles driven in pursuit of Bagwell.


BAIL BOND COMPANIES


They come under fire from certain groups. And the court sometimes gives them trouble when it takes time to locate and apprehend persons who fail to appear in court.


But Bail Bondsman have broad authority in the chase and apprehension of those who fail to appear in court. Because bail bondsman have a interest in the appearance of defendants, they diligently try to apprehend suspects and return them to the jurisdiction of the courts. A function that does not cost taxpayers any money.


Bail Bondsman also help the judicial system. They run intefereance in helping getting problems resolved. One of the biggest issues is persons moving and changing address and not notifying the court system. 


The court system is it’s own worst enemies. Cases drag around forever waiting on Forensic Sciences and Mental Health issues and make cases drag around. The system is designed to make victims angry in cases dragging out a long time.


Bail Bonding Companies serve a very useful purpose in the criminal justice system. One that saves the system a lot of money.


But sometimes it takes time in locating and apprehending those who fail to appear in court.
