PANAMA CITY BEACH, Fla. - The First Day of March, also means the first day of Spring Break in Bay County.

For the past couple of years Panama City Beach Police and Bay County Sheriff Department has had ZERO tolerance on behavior. Extremely strict rules for the month of March in Bay County.

Orange Beach Alabama has similar laws, rules and regulations. And both states will put you in jail in seconds for violating these laws.

So beware of your actions, NO MATTER YOUR AGE. Whether you are young or old, these apply to each and every one of you. And the law enforcement mandates from higher levels then the officers, ZERO - ZERO Tolerance.

So beware.

To keep the beaches safe as more visitors come in to town, these laws are in place for the entire month:

1. All alcohol sales end at 2 a.m.
2. Metal shovels are not permitted on the beach and any holes dug in the sand should not be deeper than two feet.
3. Drinking alcoholic beverages on the sandy beach is prohibited.
4. Possession and consumption of alcohol is prohibited in the commercial parking lots.
5. Parking in a closed business' parking lot is prohibited.
6. Overnight scooter rental is not permitted.
7. It is illegal to climb, jump from or throw things off balconies.
8. Parking is prohibited on unmarked or unpaved portions of the road after dark.
9. No open house parties

While most springbreakers or tourists are not expected to come until the weekend or later in the month, Sheriff's deputies are reminding everyone that there will be an increased police presence on roads and beaches for the entire month.
