MADRID: 1:29 AM. Alabama Power Crews have been in the Madrid area of southern Houston County this evening working power outages.
Multiple bucket trucks and support vehicles have been on Decatur Road and on side roads off Decatur Road working the power outage. Crews are up in the air in bucket trucks working.
Most people focus on police - fire - EMS as first responders. But along with the three most common first emergency responders comes a fourth and that is the utility workers.
When there is a structure fire or downed power lines if the power has not been shut down then police - fire and EMS can not perform their tasks.
