HOUSTON COUNTY: At 2:48 AM While everyone was fast asleep, the UNPAID PROFESSIONAL firefighters from Lucy, Gordon and Cottonwood responded to a report of a structure fire at 741 Fire Department Road in Lucy.
Reports are the structure was fully involved with fire. First unit on the scene advised it was a single wide mobile home with heavy fire showing. Houston County Sheriff’s Office responded along with Cottonwood Rescue and members of EMA.
The mobile was vacant and the cause if the fire is under investigation by the Houston County Sheriff’s Office. Two other nearby mobile home were in danger but firefighters were able to contain the fire to the one mobile home.
