DOTHAN: AT 5:17 AM DOTHAN 911 dispatched Dothan Fire, Dothan Police and Pilcher Ambulance to a structure fire at 800 Wilder Avenue.
When emergency units arrived smoke and flames were visible.
All information from 911 and citizens the house was suppose to be occupied. Dothan Fire frantically conducted initial and in depth searches of the residence attempting to locate any victim or victims. Several searches Dothan Fireman were unable to locate anyone. Several searches and phone attempts were unsuccessful.
While the frantic interior searches were conducted by Dothan Fireman were conducted for victim(s) other fireman were battling the blaze.
Folks, with heat and fire, smoke fighting fires is very difficult. And all fireman place their lives on the line to save others. And that was the case on Wilder Avenue this morning. Dothan Fireman did all they could do to make sure no one was inside the house.
PRAISES TO GOD...finally the residence was located and was not home.
But this morning showed the diligence and dedication of the Dothan Fire Department in working to first save lives and second to save property.
Dothan Fire called Red Cross to assist the displaced residents. Doth Fire Marshall investigated the cause of the fire.
THANK YOU to the men and women who fought the fire, Pilcher Ambulance for being on the scene, Dothan Police for their assistance and to the Dothan Police 911 Staff for their diligence and work.
