7:44 PM. Serious - Critical Injury Accident Dispatched On Third Ave And Hodgesville Road

HOUSTON COUNTY:   7:44 PM.  Houston County Sheriff 911 dispatched a serious/critical motor vehicle accident at Third Avenue at Hodgesville Road. 

Responding to the scene Hodgesville Volunteer Fire, Houston County Sheriff Deputies, Dothan - Houston County Emergency Management And Pilcher Ambulance.

On the arrival of the emergency units the driver was ambulatory and talking. He had a cut on his forehead and left hand.

Pilcher Ambulance treated on the scene but the driver was not transported.

The residents at the house request Houston County Road and Bridge install a barricade at this location. There have been several accidents in their front yard. One persons life was claimed.

In this accident the driver was southbound on Hodgesville Road. As he approached the curve he apparently crossed the field, Third Avenue and into the front yard striking a tree.

The ALABAMA State Troopers will investigate the accident.
