A 4:13 AM Structure Fire At Cottonwood High School. School Closed FOr Thursday

COTTONWOOD: At 4:13 AM Houston County Sheriff 911 dispatched structure fire at Cottonwood High School, the AG Building behind the High School.
Cottonwood Rescue and Cottonwood Fire were the first to arrive and reported smoke visible and flames from air ducts.
Mutual aid assistance was immediately requested. Responding were Lovetown, Hodgesville Fire and Dothan Fire. Cottonwood Police and Houston County Sheriff Deputies responded and Dothan-Houston County Emergency Management responded.
Houston County School Supt. David Sewell and Cottonwood Principal Paul Strange were on the scene. Cottonwood Mayor Ken Hamilton was on the scene.
Cottonwood Fire Chief Randy Hall commanded the scene. His department along with other departments made a quick attack of the fire. Through the combined efforts of the fireman on the scene. The fire was under control in a short period of time because of the aggressiveness of the fireman.
Houston County School Supt. David Sewell and Cottonwood Principal Paul Strange ordered Cottonwood School closed for TODAY ONLY.
The damage was contained to the AG Building on the south corner of the campus.
