Alabama Emergency Management Director Brian Hastings Visits Dothan Houston County EMA

DOTHAN - HOUSTON COUNTY: This morning Dothan - Houston County Emergency Management Director Chris Judah was host to Alabama Emergency Management Director Brian Hastings.
Judah and Hastings have something in common. On Judah's first day as Dothan - Houston County Emergency Management Director a tornado hit in Rehobeth that claimed four lives. On Hasting's first day Hurricane Irma was threatening Alabama and many evacuees hit Alabama.
A communications class involving Emergency Management Directors from across Alabama was in progress in the Emergency Operations Center. A class taught by Alabama Emergency Management Sheldon Hutcherson were welcomed by Director Hastings.
Hastings then met with EMA Director Chris Judah, Dothan Fire Chief Larry Williams, Dothan Fire Captain Stephen Messer, Jim Smith and EMA Field Operations Liaison Rickey Stokes. A time to meet Director Hastings and discuss topics that affect being prepared, response and control of emergencies.
Hastings received a quick look at the communications centers for Dothan and Houston County. He was very impressed with the facility and operations.
